Jakob has been the CEO of foodpanda since January 2017. He began his career in the food delivery industry in Berlin and moved to Singapore in 2014 to head up
foodpanda’s operations across Southeast Asia. In his current role, he oversees foodpanda’s growth and expansion in Asia, now totalling 12 markets. He’s witnessed the advent and rapid rise of the food delivery industry across the region and regularly shares his deep insights as one of the region’s thought leaders.
Prior to his work in the food delivery industry, Jakob was a project manager at McKinsey Company, with a focus on management strategy. His expertise in bridging strong strategy and operational excellence has helped to grow foodpanda into one of the leading delivery platforms in Asia. Jakob holds an MBA from INSEAD and prior to this studied Physics at the Technical University of Munich.
