Dr Mathew (Mat) Hughes is Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Loughborough University School of Business and Economics, having previously held posts at Durham University and the University of Nottingham. Mat is an award-winning teacher and researcher. His expertise lies in entrepreneurial management and specifically the interface between (for example) entrepreneurship and innovation and strategy, management and marketing. Mat has worked with a variety of start-ups, high-growth businesses, large international businesses and public organisations on building a sustainable innovative firm. He is Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Centre for Corporate Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Loughborough University School of Business and Economics. He is an Editor of the Entrepreneurship Research Journal and sits on a variety of Editorial Review Boards including for the Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Business Venturing, British Journal of Management, and the Journal of Family Business Strategy.
